The Southport Summer Market, sponsored by the City of Southport, is a place for local growers and crafters to sell their goods directly to consumers, fostering community engagement and interaction.
The Southport Summer Market will run every Wednesday from the first Wednesday in May until the last Wednesday in August, excluding the week of the Fourth of July, and will be open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. The market operates rain or shine unless determined otherwise by the Market Committee due to hazardous weather conditions.
Southport encourages all residents and visitors to join us in supporting local vendors and savoring the unique charm that the Summer Markets bring to the heart of the city. Let’s make this summer a memorable one in Southport!
Southport Summer Markets are held every Wednesday from May through August (except the week of the Fourth of July) in downtown Southport. The markets provide the perfect opportunity for residents and visitors alike to enjoy locally grown produce, handmade crafts, and delicious prepared foods, all while supporting small businesses and fostering a sense of community.
The Southport Summer Market was developed with the motto “Home Grown & Home Made” to highlight local growers and crafters, promote seasonal and locally sourced foods, and offer a welcoming space for social connection. Arts and crafts featured at the market are all handmade or hand-crafted, ensuring a truly unique shopping experience for attendees.
Due to popular demand, the City of Southport will also host a Fall Market, running from late September through November, giving the community additional opportunities to shop locally and enjoy seasonal offerings.

- Summer Market: Wednesdays, May 6 – August 26
- Fall Market: Wednesdays, September 23 – November 11

Interested in Being a Vendor? Local growers, crafters, and food vendors are encouraged to apply. Spaces fill quickly, so early applications are recommended. For more information and to apply, visit exploresouthportnc.gov. Booths are 10’ x 10’ and available for $30 each. A non-refundable application fee is required for all vendors. Vendors may purchase additional spaces if needed.
