The crackling of the fireplace and the smell of pine on the hearth can only mean one thing – it is yule time!
Join the NC Maritime Museum at Southport on November 25th from 1pm-3pm for its popular program, Victorian Holiday. Whether you are 9 or 90 years old, making unconventional holiday decorations is fun.
Making unconventional decorations has been the hallmark of the NC Maritime Museum at Southport’s Victorian Holiday. This year, we have updated our ornaments to include seaside-scapes, starfish painting, and of course, spiders for good luck. Patrons will also enjoy stories of the Christmas spider and Father Time. The program will conclude with a tour of the museum at 3 p.m., focusing on holiday traditions from the colonial period to the Gilded Age.
Appropriate for all ages; $5 per person. Call the Museum at 910-457-0003 to register.
