The Southport Waterfront Market is extending its season.
The market is extending the season to the 10th of November.
Vendors offer fresh okra, greens, peas, squash, pumpkins and grapes, just in time for fall eating and decorating.
The growing season for local farmers got off to a late start this year because of the cold winter and wet spring.
Several of the vendors had difficulty getting into their fields during early spring. Then the scorching heat of mid-summer ruined many of their crops.
The market continues to add crafters each week.
